Cookie Policy
This page explains how the super-bike.ch website uses cookies and similar technologies, which categories exist, which third-party tools are active and how you can control or withdraw your consent at any time. This page should be read together with the data protection policy, which fully describes how we process personal data.
The website serves Switzerland and Liechtenstein. The rules described here follow a two-level approach. The basic level is the Swiss one, based on Article 45c of the Telecommunications Act (TCA) and on the guidance of the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner. For visitors located in the European Union, this is supplemented by the European Union level, based on the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC and the consent standard provided for by the General Data Protection Regulation.
1. Who manages this website

2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device (computer, smartphone or tablet) when you visit it. They are used to make the website work, remember your preferences, measure how it is used and, in some cases, show you advertising messages in line with your interests.
Alongside cookies, we use similar technologies that perform similar functions, for example tracking pixels, payment provider SDKs, identifiers saved in the browser's local storage and tags loaded through a tag management system. On this page, for simplicity, we refer to all these technologies using the word cookies.
Cookies can be of two types depending on who sets them. First-party cookies are set directly by super-bike.ch. Third-party cookies are set by external providers offering services integrated into the website, for example the analytics, advertising or payment tools listed below.
Based on their duration, a cookie may be a session cookie, meaning it is deleted when the browser is closed, or a persistent cookie, meaning it is stored for a defined period.
3. The categories of cookies we use
We group cookies into four categories based on their purpose.
Strictly necessary cookies. They are used to make the website work and allow you to browse and complete a purchase. They include, for example, session and cart management, language selection, security tokens and the storage of your cookie choices. Without these cookies, the store cannot function properly. These cookies do not require your consent, but we still have a duty to inform you of their use.
Functional and preference cookies. They improve the experience on the website by remembering choices you have made, for example display preferences or functions connected to social login. They are not essential to basic operation.
Analytics or statistical cookies. They help us understand how visitors use the website, which pages are viewed and how the store can be improved. They collect information in aggregate form about the use of the website.
Marketing and profiling cookies. They are used to show you advertisements in line with your interests, on the website and on third-party platforms, to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and to re-contact people who have visited the website, including the recovery of abandoned carts. These cookies build a profile of your interests.
4. The difference between technical cookies and profiling cookies
There is an important difference in the way we handle the different categories.
The strictly necessary (technical) cookies are activated without requiring your consent because they are essential to provide the service you have requested. In this case, we only have the obligation to inform you, which we do through this page.
The functional, analytics, marketing and profiling cookies (non-necessary) are set only after you have given your consent. Until you make a choice, none of these cookies is written to your device. Consent is freely given, specific and can be withdrawn at any time.
5. The cookie banner and consent
On your first visit, we show you a banner managed by the CookieFirst consent management platform. The banner allows you to accept or reject non-necessary cookies and to choose in detail which categories to activate.
The Accept button and the Reject button have equal prominence and can be reached at the same level, with the same number of steps. Rejecting is as easy as accepting. Simply continuing to browse, scrolling the page or closing the banner does not constitute consent.
No analytics, marketing or profiling cookies are written to your device before your consent. Only strictly necessary cookies are active from the outset. If you reject, no tracking cookie is set and profiling is not activated.
The Google tools present on the website operate with Google Consent Mode. Before your choice, they operate in limited mode, without setting advertising cookies and without building remarketing audiences, which are activated only after your consent.
6. List of cookies and third-party tools
The following table lists the providers and tools active on the website, together with their purpose and category. Cookies from non-necessary tools are set only after consent to the corresponding category.
The exact names of the individual cookies and their respective durations are periodically updated based on the monthly scan performed by the CookieFirst platform and can be consulted at any time from the website's cookie management panel.
Payment tools (PayPal, PostFinance, Twint, HeyLight / HeidiPay) are activated when you choose the relevant payment method, as they are necessary to carry out the transaction you have requested. Some of these providers may also set their own cookies for security or profiling purposes, governed by their respective privacy policies.
The payment methods available at checkout are credit card (Visa and Mastercard), PostFinance, Twint, PayPal, bank transfer and HeyLight instalment payment. The providers that may set cookies during payment are those listed in the table above. Bank transfer does not involve third-party cookies.
7. Transfers of data abroad
Several of the tools listed above are provided by companies based outside Switzerland and the European Union, particularly in the United States. This is the case, among others, with Google, Meta, TikTok, Cloudflare and PayPal. When you use the website with these tools active, some data may also be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries.
For these transfers, we rely on recognised safeguards. For the Swiss level, we rely on the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for providers that have joined it. For the European Union level, we rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision (EU Implementing Decision 2023/1795) for certified providers, or on the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission (EU Decision 2021/914), accompanied by supplementary measures for non-certified providers.
The specific basis for the transfer, namely whether it relies on the Data Privacy Framework or the Standard Contractual Clauses, is checked for each provider against the official Data Privacy Framework register and kept up to date. You can find the complete overview of recipients and safeguards in the data protection policy.
8. How to withdraw or change your consent at any time
You can change your mind whenever you want. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
To change or withdraw your choices, open the cookie settings managed by CookieFirst through the permanent link available in the website footer, in the section dedicated to cookie management.
From that panel you can enable or disable individual categories of non-necessary cookies and save your new choice. Withdrawal takes effect for the future and does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent given before withdrawal.
In addition, you can manage or delete cookies already stored directly from your browser settings. Remember that disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect the proper functioning of the website.
If you have subscribed to the newsletter, you can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each message.
9. References for visitors in the European Union
If you are located in the European Union, prior consent for non-necessary cookies is required in accordance with the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC and the consent standard of the General Data Protection Regulation. This means that no cookies other than strictly necessary cookies are set on your device before a clear affirmative action on your part, without pre-selected boxes and without implied consent.
You can withdraw your consent at any time using the same methods described in point 8. For the exercise of your rights regarding personal data and for information on the competent supervisory authorities, please refer to the data protection policy.
10. Link to the Privacy Policy
This Cookie Policy forms part of the broader data protection policy of super-bike.ch, which describes all processing purposes, legal bases, data recipients, retention periods and your rights. We invite you to read it for a complete overview. You can find it at https://www.super-bike.ch/it/content/10-policy-privacy.
11. Updates to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes to the tools used, applicable regulations or our practices. The date at the top of the page indicates the latest version. The cookie table is updated periodically based on the scan performed by the CookieFirst platform.
